This is a hard-to-find, vintage, new, mint condition, hand-crafted carved sandalwood wood woodne elephant decorated with pink beads pink sparkles and diamond-shaped mirrors key ring keychain handmade in thailand in the mid-1980s. Purchased during a trip to thailand in 1986, it has never been used adn has been safely and securely stored for over 20 years. It is in mint condition with no marks, stains, odors, chips, cracks, missing beads, missing mirrors or other damage it comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home. The slide-on key ring is gold-tone and measures approximately 1 inch round.
There is a gold-tone link chain attached to the key ring with a hand-carved wooden, decorated elephant at the bottom which as a drop of approximately 2 1/2 inches. The carved wood elephant is highly details with etched body markings, inset sparkle clear bead eyes and an intricate, festive blanket across its back ocmplete with headdress head covering. It measures approximately 2 inches long, approximately 1 1/2 inches tall and approximately 3/4ths of an inch wide/thick. The decorative blanket is composed from an outline of pink beads with a pink sparkle interior there are diamond-shaped mirrors set across the pink sparkle background adding a finishing touch to this festive elephant, ready to parade down the streets!
There is a piece of hand-cut brass attached across the bottom sides of the blanket with the word thailand in black letters.
